I'm a first time buyer. I've heard that there are different types of loans and some are better for first time home buyers. And I've also heard that there is help for first time buyers. I don't know what I qualify for or what questions to ask to make sure I get this. What do I do?

Hi. I have a tree that I think needs to be trimmed before I can list my home for sale but it is on the other side of the sidewalk, is that my property? It was planted when the plan was created and the streets were poured, before my house was built. Who is responsible to pay for that tree to be trimmed?

I'm interested in a home that has a large green space behind it. It is one of the selling points. But i'm not sure if it will always be green space and who owns it or what is planned for it. I don't know how to figure out the address or how to search it in the county website. How can i find out?

Been house hunting for a while now. Our lender told us initially that the war would probably cause interest rates to drop. But, I keep seeing news that interest rates are rising, and our lender confirmed today that rates are now higher than they were.rnDon't rates usually drop during wars? why isn't that happening now?

I have been in my house since 2019. It's small. My family is outgrowing it. rnCurrent house was $110k. Have about 75k left. Our mortgage is awesome. ~$800/mo. 4% interest rate. I am terrified of being house poor. We can definitely afford a higher monthly payment on a bigger house but with the current market I'm not sure a few extra hundred per month is going to get us a bigger house.rnrnI am considering a HELOC because we have a basement that would add so much room if able to finish it. The basement would need a ton of work. Probably 15k in sump and waterproofing before we could even put up walls, electricity, etc. I have some savings but I'd like to keep it for emergencies. Opinions?

The listing says it is a gut rehab, what does that mean? Do I have to gut it? Just want to know what it means.
