How long do I need to live in a state to get residency? Do the residency requirements differ from state to state?

Can I buy a house in California without being a resident? Will I lose my Washington residency if I spend too much time at a house in another state?
Are Zestimates accurate? Or is my Redfin estimate accurate? They're about the same number. I'm thinking of selling and wondering if these numbers are what I can expect.
What can I ask for after a home inspection? The owner has several cats that have damaged the house. Beyond the scratches, the cats have peed on the carpet. Can I ask for money to cover the cost of new carpets and to repair the damage from the cats?

Can I get a new job while house hunting? Some of the tips I read were don't open a credit card or switch jobs... but I have a great opportunity with a new company. That said, I'm anxious to buy a house and don't want to lose out. If I take this job, is there a time frame that I'd have to wait to purchase a home?
Had Home listed for six months and canceled the listing. Now I want to relist it as a new listing. How long must I wait in the state of Arizona?
