When is the best time to list my home?

I can’t close on my house until mid May. When should I list. The house is in colonie and past year anything listed goes under contract within two weeks

If you want to close on your home in mid May and homes are selling quickly, you could always have your agent include in the additional provisions stating "the seller requires a post occupancy for X amount of time". This allows you to stay in the home after it closes to allow you extra time to pack or find a replacement home.
