About Katherine Santifer
With over 22 years of real estate experience, I've built my career by navigating every type of market cycle-and showing up consistently for the people I serve. I entered the industry in 2004 during a booming market, working from a high-traffic office that attracted steady walk-in clients relocating to the area, well before platforms like Zillow existed.
When the market shifted dramatically between 2007 and 2013, I stayed in the field and leaned into the hard work. I guided buyers and sellers through foreclosures and short sales, worked closely with banks and asset managers, completed BPOs, and helped many clients make informed decisions during one of the most challenging housing periods in recent history. That season shaped my calm, solutions-focused approach and deepened my understanding of contracts, compliance, and transaction management.
In 2014, I earned my broker's license and operated my own office before choosing to continue my career with other established real estate companies in the area-expanding my experience, sharpening my skills, and assisting a wide range of clients. Along the way, I also gained hands-on experience in real estate investing and home staging, adding a creative and strategic layer to my work.
Today, I bring perspective, patience, and practical knowledge to every transaction. I value clear communication, ethical practices, and long-term relationships over quick wins. In addition to real estate, I've spent the last three years volunteering as a community advocate at a local pregnancy resource center-supporting families and giving back in meaningful ways.
As I look ahead, my goal is to continue helping clients while maintaining a balanced life that allows time for travel and service. Experience has taught me that real estate is never just about property-it's about people, timing, and trust.

Answered Questions
Hi Linda, prepare the house for sale now. Discuss with your siblings and get the house ready. You want to make sure the house is clean and move in ready. Do the work to make it appealing in photos and online. Check comparable properties that are listed near your home and have an idea of what you want to net. Figure in what it costs to sell and call a few realtors that are experts in your area. Get a couple of professional opinions. Usually spring and summer markets are the best to sell, before school ends and the new school year starts. Wishing you well in your journey of home selling!
