Do I need to put 20% down?

You no longer " needaEUR? a 20% down payment to purchase a home. You can get an FHA loan with 3.5% down and in Washington State, there are several programs where you can qualify for up to 5% in down payment assistance. Look at WSHFC.org for more information on what is available for home buyers.

I am 72. Can I still buy a house?

Absolutely! I just helped a couple sell their home in Burien, WA and they purchased in a 55+ active living community in Lacey, WA...the husband is in his 70's Another client just moved up from California and purchased in University Place and she is in her 70's as well. There is no age restriction when purchasing a home : )

Cheryl is not one of those Real Estate Agents who are only happy and excited for you until they get their percentage of the transaction. Every real estate agent I worked with was like that. But Cheryl makes the time and effort to help you find a home, and not push for a sale. She is considerate, knowledgeable, and cares. She is also considerate of the stress of buying and selling. Cheryl spent a lot of time driving me around looking for a home, and sitting with me in each one as I got a feel for it. She is professional and considerate, and also helped educate me about the real estate market. I would highly recommend Cheryl to anyone thinking of buying or selling. She truly is a gem.
