Should I wait to sell in Pennsylvania?

We were planning to sell in the spring but with interest rates, is it a bad time? She we try to sell sooner before home prices get even lower?

Hello I would recommend that you talk to a top real estate professional in your local market to find out what the best timing and trends are.

The best time to sell is usually spring time. I personally think prices will continue to increase gradually because of the low supply we have and the amount of buyers looking.

Hello Robert! I am from PA myself. No one has a crystal ball BUT many say the interest rates will begin to fall a little by late winter/early spring. Here in PA we have a seasonal real estate market to contend with. I personally do not see values going down. More so a plateau of values. If you are looking to potentially sell for more, I would consider waiting until March/April/May. That is of course if you have the time. Best of luck!

Hi Robert, the right time to sell is when you need to sell. Although it is true there is a seasonality to our industry and Spring is an ideal time that also brings additional competition against your home. Consult a local agent in your market to determine what the state of your particular market it. For example, in my area it is still solidly a sellers market with less than 2 months of inventory. What that means is homes are still competitive and buyers are coming in with multiple offers for the right home. What interest rates have done is reduce buyer tolerance for less than desirable conditions that a year ago would have not mattered. So ensure your home is well cared for, in good condition, and staged appropriately. Good luck.
