If you’re thinking of selling your house in Florida, spring and early summer are the best times to do it. People are more likely to be looking for homes during these months because the weather is great and kids are out of school.
Best time to sell historically tends to be Spring and Summer but given the limited inventory in many markets across the country, this tends to not be as important as it used to be. Depending on the market in Florida, you might have a lot or little inventory since they benefited from the Covid boom with lots of new construction. Best of luck with your search!

In Florida, the traditional spring selling season brings strong buyer activity, but Crystal River and Citrus County operate on their own rhythm influenced by seasonal residents and outdoor recreation tourism. Buyers who love the Nature Coast for fishing, kayaking, and the famous manatee springs tend to be active from late fall through spring, so listing between November and April can position your home in front of motivated, qualified buyers. That said, well-priced homes in Citrus County move in any season when inventory is lean, so current market conditions matter as much as calendar timing. Pull a current absorption rate for your price range before deciding when to list, and make sure your pricing strategy reflects what buyers are actually paying right now rather than what neighbors sold for six months ago. Timing and pricing together are what produce results.

The best time to sell your home depends on your local market, but in Irvine, the strongest selling seasons are typically spring and early summer. Buyer demand is highest during these months, families prepare for summer moves, and homes benefit from better natural lighting and curb appeal. That said, Irvine’s market is competitive year-round, meaning you can still sell quickly and for top dollar in any season with the right strategy.
Since you’re relocating out of state, hiring an aggressive, proactive, results-driven agent is essential. You need someone who will manage the entire process — staging guidance, high-impact marketing, pricing strategy, negotiation, and timeline planning — so your sale stays on track even while you focus on your move. Maximum exposure in the first week is crucial for achieving strong offers fast.
Your ideal timing may also depend on your relocation schedule. When moving to Florida, coordinating your Irvine sale with your out-of-state transition is important. A skilled agent can help you choose the best listing date based on expected days on market, buyer demand trends, and your preferred move-out timeline.

Hello Mike,
Historically, Spring and Summer are the best times to sell based on the data. But, what I have observed over the years is that the best time to buy is when you're ready. For your move to FL, I suggest you hire a real estate agent in Florida who knows how to help people moving from other states. If you still need help I can give you recommendations.
